Leadership Development

How much does a leadership workshop actually cost?

A focused, up-to-2-hour workshop starts at $1,250. A half day runs $2,000. A full day, the most common format, is $3,250. A two-day program starts at $6,000, with additional consecutive days typically $2,750 each. Every length includes up to 20 participants at the base price. The full breakdown, including a planning calculator that adjusts for group size and customization, is on the pricing page.

What actually moves the number from there: how many people are in the room, how much the content needs adapting to your specific situation, and whether you want a follow-up session built in.

Why length isn't the only thing that matters

It's tempting to think a workshop's price is just a function of the clock, more hours, more money. That's part of it, but not the whole story. Here's what I've found actually drives the cost difference between a 2-hour session and a full day: it's not just more time, it's more room for something to actually change.

A 2-hour session introduces a concept and gets people thinking differently about one thing. A full day has room for real practice: working through an actual scenario from your team, not a hypothetical one, getting feedback in the room, adjusting, trying again. That's a different kind of value than a longer lecture, and it's why the per-hour cost doesn't fall in a straight line as sessions get longer. A half day and a full day aren't priced as multiples of the 2-hour rate. They're priced for what actually happens differently at each length.

What changes the price at any length

Group size. Every leadership workshop includes up to 20 participants at the base price. Above that, the adjustment is straightforward: $750 more for 21 to 35 people, $1,500 more for 36 to 50. Past 50, it stops being a formula and becomes a real conversation, because a session for that many people usually needs a different structure, not just a bigger room.

Customization. Adapting an existing Wired Human topic to your team's actual situation is included at every length. Significant custom content development, building in your specific scenarios, language, and material, adds $1,500. A fully custom program built from the ground up isn't priced off a formula at all. It gets scoped in a real conversation, because a truly custom program needs a discovery process before anyone can say what it should cost.

Follow-up support. A single workshop can be a real moment and still fade in a month if nothing reinforces it. A 60 to 90 minute virtual group follow-up adds $1,000 and gives the team a chance to report back on what actually stuck and what didn't. Individual coaching follow-up for specific leaders is its own scope, priced separately.

Why a full day is the format most teams actually pick

Most of what I run ends up being the full-day format, and there's a real reason for that beyond it being the middle option. A 2-hour session is enough to shift how people think about one thing. It's rarely enough to practice a new skill under real pressure and get past the awkward first attempt at using it. A full day has room for both: enough time to introduce something new and enough time to actually try it before everyone leaves the room. That's the difference between a team that heard something interesting and a team that did something different.

Multi-day programs

A two-day program starts at $6,000, and it's built for something a single day can't hold: a full leadership cohort working through multiple related topics with real time between sessions to apply what's landing. Additional consecutive days run about $2,750 each. Programs stretched across several weeks or months instead of consecutive days get scoped differently, since the planning and continuity work is different when there's real time between sessions instead of an overnight gap.

Where to start

If you already know the format, the planning calculator will give you a real number in under a minute, including the nonprofit rate if that applies. If you're not sure yet whether this needs to be two hours or two days, get in touch and tell me what's actually going on with the team. That's a more useful starting point than picking a length off a list.

Frequently asked questions

How many people can attend a workshop at the base price?

Up to 20 participants at every length. That's not an arbitrary cutoff. A cohort past 20 stops being a room where everyone's actually participating and starts being an audience, which is a different kind of session with different pricing.

Can a workshop be delivered virtually instead of in person?

Yes. Both work. In person tends to fit better for a full day or multi-day program where the practice and discussion benefit from being in the same room. A focused 2-hour session works well either way.

What happens if we want the same workshop delivered again for a different team?

Repeat delivery, the same program run again with minimal redesign, often costs less than the first delivery. That rate gets documented in the proposal once we know what's repeating and for whom.
